Situated in the middle of fantastic walking terrain only a 1 ½ - hour drive from Bergen, you will find Stordalen Fjellstue in Masfjorden. Pleasant accommodation available in the mountain lodge and the cabins. Stordalen Fjellstue is known for its excellent food.
Stordalen is the perfect starting point for both short and long trips on prepared tracks/paths – in both summer and winter. Extensive area for small game hunting and fishing.

Stordalen Fjellstue has 17 newly refurbished, modern rooms with en suite shower and WC. Stordalen Fjellstue also lets cabins and apartments for from four to six people.

HUNTING, FISHING, OUTDOOR PURSUITS
Near Stordalen Fjellstue is a large area suitable for small game hunting and fishing. Stordalen is also an excellent starting point for outdoor pursuits and walking in the beautiful Stølsheimen mountains.
LOCATION:
E39 from Bergen:
Stordalen Fjellstove is approx. a 1 ½ - hour drive north of Bergen. Take the E 39 north to the Nordhordland Bridge and continue to Knarvik. Stay on the E39 to Matre. From Matre it is 17 km to Stordalen Fjellstue.
E39 from the Sognefjord:
Take the E 39 from the Sognefjord to Matre. From Matre it is 17 km to Stordalen Fjellstue.
RV 57 from the Sognefjord:
Take the RV 57 from Rutledal to Sløvåg, then the ferry to Leirvåg. Follow the RV 57 to Knarvik. Continue on the E39 to Matre. From Matre it is 17 km to Stordalen Fjellstue.

Stølsheimen mountains, Bjørn West Museet (the Bjørn West Museum), Villmarkssenteret (Wilderness Museum), Tjorehagen–Rhododendron garden, Vestnorsk Utvandringssenter (West Norway Emigration Centre), Meland Golf & Naturpark (Meland Golf Course), Lyngheisenteret (the Heathland Centre), Knarvik Bowling, Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk (Hillesvåg Woollen Factory/Factory shop) and Statoil Mongstad oil refinery.
