The family-run Alver Hotel was established in 1959 in rural surroundings at Alversund, on the farm where the author Amalie Skram spent much of her childhood.
Today, the Alver Hotel is a modern course/conference, holiday and leisure hotel with all amenities and many possibilities. You can go for a walk in the countryside, fish from the shore or a boat, take a cruise on the fjord, explore Nordhordland or Bergen’s many attractions – or just relax and enjoy life….

Alver Hotel offers accommodation at the hotel itself or in cabins. The hotel has 88 hotel rooms and two cabins. Alver Hotel does its utmost to ensure that you have a comfortable stay at the hotel. All the rooms at Alver Hotel have the necessary amenities and are tastefully decorated and furnished. Lovely views in beautiful surroundings.

The Alver Hotel is known far and wide for its excellent cuisine and fine restaurant. The food and wine are of the highest quality, prepared and served with care and pride. The hotel has a beautiful, modern restaurant, in addition to the “Skramkjellaren” pub and restaurant with its relaxed and intimate atmosphere.

Alver Hotel can organise events of varying sizes/topics. All our course rooms have natural daylight, bright and pleasant interiors and modern AV equipment.
LOCATION
E39 from Bergen:
The Alver Hotel is located a mere 30 minutes from Bergen. Take the E 39 north to the Nordhordland Bridge and then on to Knarvik. Take the RV 57 from Knarvik to Isdalstø, and the RV 565 in the direction of Radøy for approx. 1 km. Follow the signs to Alver Hotel.
E39 from the Sognefjord:
Take the E 39 from the Sognefjord to Knarvik, the RV 57 from Knarvik to Isdalstø, and the RV 565 in the direction of Radøy for approx. 1 km. Follow the signs to Alver Hotel.
RV 57 from the Sognefjord:
Take the RV 57 from Rutledal to Sløvåg, then the ferry across to Leirvåg. Take the RV 57 to Isdalstø and follow the signs to Alver Hotel.

Fedje – a sea anglers’ paradise! Tjorehagen – Rhododendron garden, Vestnorsk Utvandringssenter (West Norway Emigration Centre), Meland Golf & Naturpark (Meland Golf Course), Lyngheisenteret (the Heathland Centre), Knarvik Bowling, Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk/Fabrikkutsalg (Hillesvåg Woollen Factory/Factory shop) and Statoil Mongstad oil refinery.
