Lindås Municipality
There are many great small sea bays and river systems in Lindås that are excellent for canoeing and kayaking. Some of them have picnic sites for canoeists and other users if these lovely areas. Vågseidet, Risa and Lindås ( by Lindås Brygge) are good places from which to set off in your canoe / kayak. Parking.
Hundvensvatnet (by Bruvoll Camping & Hytter) or Vikavatnet lakes are good starting points for canoeing / kayaking in river systems. Parking by Bruvoll Camping & Hytter.

Three lakes - Kosåseidet - Myking - Rikstadvågen
A greedy pike is lurking among the reeds while a glistening blach mink is frolicking about on the rocky shore. In the dense woodland futher up, a dry twig breaks under the impact of a deer`s hoof. Two Canada geese are preparing to land, plowing deep into the water`s surface. And there you are, in the middle of it all... Take a canoe or kayak on the Hallands, Myking and Hauglandsvatnet lakes and enjoy the feeling of beeing at one with nature. Glide along narrow canals or test your strength against a northerly breeze on the water.

Kvalvågen - Børilden - Kvalvågen
When the regular ferry in Øyane ceased to operate at the end of 1996, the last families moved away from Børilden. Now the houses are used as holiday homes, and Børilden is truly a gem. The idyllic setting is by no means second to any of the betterknown districts on the coast of Southern Norway

Solesjøen - Kvalvågen - Kilstraumen - Solesjøen
The round trip from Solesjøen, north to Kvalvågen and then back south through Kilstraumen covers much of the inner parts of one of the most central shipping lanes through Austrheim. But first and foremost, this route encompasses iimportant areas of Austrheim`s past, socially, culturally and also industrally. You have to travel, not just in space, but also in time, to really comprehend the extent of the acitvities that used to be found here.

Kvalvågen - Storestonga - Litlestonga - Kvalvågen
A Mink is approaching, prey in mouth. He stops in his tracks to growl at the intruder, but it`s not my intention to disturb his dinner. I need to move on, anyway. I`m going all the way round.

Baløyna - Rognevær - Lyngoksen - Baløyna
You will not easily forget a summer`s night at the mouth og the fjord. The soft pastels of dusk, the birds gathering on the rocks, the sun just dipping into the sea to the west before disappearing - but not for long! It is soon up again on the horizon, warming the canvas sides to your tent so you have to open up to let the sea air in. Soon the sunrise breeze whips the tops off the waves, drenching your back.

Baløyna - Selsøyna - Krossøyna - Baløyna
Glide silently around a point, so close to the rock face that you can feel its heat. Swing into a cove you haven`t visited before. See the shadows cast by your craft on the white sandy seabed far below. Find the foreshore backed by the grassy slope you hoped might be there.
